After a probably-failed Beignet this weekend, this is heartening. The skirt turned out beautifully, but it just looks dumb on me. The proportions are all wrong. I'd been dreaming of this skirt for months, so I'm more than a little bummed that I hate it so much. If I can get over it enough, maybe I'll devote a full post to it — the successes and failures — because, after all, failed projects are great learning experiences. I can try any old thing on in a dressing room with very little penalty, but trying out new styles when you're sewing them yourself can really not reward that risk. But I'm not going to let that stop me! The lining job was beautiful, dammit!
